Former South Sakwa councilor, Marti Ondong, emphasized the community’s impatience and urged investigative officers to locate the woman and apprehend the abductors. Ondong expressed concern about the prevailing insecurity in Awendo, urging the police to enhance their efforts.
The former councilor called for the thorough investigation of existing insecurity cases, demanding the arrest and prosecution of those involved. Area Chief Fred Otieno reported that the woman’s whereabouts are still unknown, affirming that investigations are ongoing.
The unfortunate incident occurred at night in the woman’s residence, where three unidentified individuals kidnapped her, also taking Ksh.6000. One of the suspects defiled her teenage daughter. The community remains on edge, awaiting the resolution of this distressing situation.
