In Chepalungu, Bomet County, a tragic incident unfolded as 72-year-old Francis Bor used a bow and arrow to fatally wound his 23-year-old grandson, Ezra Chepkwony, during a heated altercation.

The confrontation occurred after Chepkwony, having consumed alcoholic drinks, visited his grandfather’s home. The intoxicated grandson insulted and provoked Bor, leading the elderly man to resort to his bow and arrow.

Initially missing his target, Bor resorted to stabbing Chepkwony directly with the arrow, resulting in the young man’s untimely death.

Chepalungu Sub-County police have confiscated the alleged murder weapon, and Chepkwony’s remains now rest in Kapkatet Mortuary.
